exim4u not removing mailbox from file system

Dan Egli
This is a problem I just encountered. Any time you delete a user from within Exim4u, their mailbox remains on the file system. Plus, if you later add a new user with the same username and domain, they inherit all the previous user's mailbox information, including messages and folders.

Is there a way that this could be remedied? It's a pain in the A** for the site admin to have to go in and remove old mailboxes manually after the domain admin deletes the account.

Thanks!
--- Dan

Delivery via dovecot-lmtp

Odhiambo Washington
It's said that LMTP protocol is more efficient so I was wondering if one of "us" in this group already ditched the dovecot-lda in favor of LMTP and modified the following transport to use LMTP:

dovecot_virtual_delivery:
  driver = pipe
  return_output
  command = /usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda -d $local_part@$domain -f $sender_address
  message_prefix =
  message_suffix =
  delivery_date_add
  envelope_to_add
  return_path_add
  log_output
  user = Debian-exim
  temp_errors = 64 : 69 : 70: 71 : 72 : 73 : 74 : 75 : 78
